Current Opportunities: Charity Treasurer
We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our Board of Trustees as our Charity Treasurer. This is a volunteer role and is a critical one that ensures the financial health and sustainability of Long Ashton Youth Club, enabling us to continue delivering our vital programs.
Role Responsibilities:
Oversee the charity’s financial strategy, ensuring transparency and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Prepare and present financial reports to the Board of Trustees at regular meetings.
Manage budgets and monitor income and expenditure to support our programs, such as Junior Youth Club and EPIC Youth.
Work with our team to secure funding and explore new fundraising opportunities.
Ensure robust financial controls are in place to safeguard our resources.
Who We’re Looking For:
Experience in financial management, accounting, or bookkeeping (formal qualifications are a bonus but not essential).
A passion for supporting young people and a commitment to our inclusive values.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with our dedicated team of trustees and volunteers.
Time commitment: Approximately 4-6 hours per month, including attending quarterly board meetings and occasional ad-hoc tasks.
No prior trustee experience? No problem! We welcome applications from first-time trustees and will provide support to help you succeed in this rewarding role.
If you are unable to commit to becoming a trustee, then we would be pleased to discuss further how you can fulfil the treasurer role as a non-trustee.
